Windy City National Qualifier (WCNQ) Information:

 

-Dates: March 30-April 1 (Fri-Sun)


-Location: McCormick Place, Chicago

*Best address to use for dropping off players or Uber/Lyft is 2301 S. Martin Luther King Dr, Chicago 60616- added 3/28

 

-Teams Attending: 13B, 15HP, 16HP, 16W, 16Blu, 17HP

 

-Friday Start Time: 13B, 15HP, 16W, 16Blu am start; 16HP, 17HP pm start.

 

-Friday Team Meeting Place- Hallway outside the entrance to the court area. Lots A & C parking entrances are on opposite sides of building.
Lot A is by West Building; Lot C is by Lakeside Center, court area is in the mddle.

-Saturday/Sunday Start Times: Determined by previous days finish.

 

-Schedules: Will be posted on our site and AES on Tuesday the week of the tournament. https://www.advancedeventsystems.com/Splash.aspx

 

-Advance Purchase Parking Passes for Lot A and Lot C- connected to the playing venue, McCormick Place. Both lots A and C have overnight and in/out parking privileges. *Note- Lot A is the closest option, Lot C requires a walk through the Lakeside Center. There will be WCNQ signs to follow. 
3-day parking passes are available for $59.00 and will sell out quickly! Please be sure to keep track of your parking pass as once you print the pass out you will be responsible for lost/stolen passes.

Enter in the dates for the tournament (3/30) and hit Search and it will bring up Windy City National Qualifier and click Find Parking.

McCormick Place Lot A- 2301 S Prairie Ave, Chicago

FROM THE WEST
Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). 
Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). 
Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

FROM MIDWAY AIRPORT (10 Miles) OR SOUTHWEST::

Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway). 
Exit at Martin L. King Drive (Exit #293D) and follow signs to Lot A entrance ramp located immediately to your left.

 

McCormick Place Lot C- Fort Dearborn Dr, Chicago (Lakeside Center)
FROM THE WEST:
Take I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway) to I-94 East (Dan Ryan Expressway). 
Keeping to the right, follow to I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) onto US-41 South (Lake Shore Drive).
Exit at 31st St. and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.
FROM MIDWAY AIRPORT (10 Miles) OR SOUTHWEST: :
Take I-55 North (Stevenson Expressway) to Lake Shore Drive South. 
Exit at 31st Street and turn left over the Lake Shore Dr. Bridge to Ft. Dearborn Drive. 
Turn left and follow signs to Lot C.

 

-McCormick Parking Map- Make sure you check to see which lot your Parking Pass is for if purchases. Passes are for lot A or C.

-There will be a Non-Denominational Easter Service at 6:15am at McCormick Place on Easter morning in the Grand Ballroom/S100 located on Level 1 just off the main entrance of the convention center.

 

-Site will have 75 spectator chairs around each court so no need to bring portable chairs. Please do not remove chairs from any courts.  Chairs around the court should be open for those spectators whose athletes are playing in each round and not reserve a seat for an entire wave.

 

-USAV High Performance Tryout will take place in the South Hall on Thursday, March 29th, from 4:00pm-8:00pm – go to the USAV link for details on registration.  https://www.teamusa.org/usa-volleyball/high-performance/hp-indoor/tryouts

 

-Tournament is looking for National Anthem singers!  If you have a player or group of players who would like to sing the National Anthem on one of the mornings please let them know.
