Solo Spike Hitters Program



Camp Descriptions:

Attack (SPIKE) Analysis- is offered on an appointment basis.  This is one session for an hour.  We will review the 12 step attack (spike) sequence.  We will provide a “Before and After” Dartfish video on the Solo Spike machine, a video of our role model, and a written evaluation of the 12 step attack (spike) sequence.

Hitters Mechanics- (Six sessions) One hour sessions, twice a week to allow the player’s body to physically recover.  Sessions typically on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.  Sessions focus on explosion, jumping, balance, and include time on the Solo Spike machine.  This session forms the foundation of further development of the attack.  You will receive a written evaluation of the 12 key spike sequences along with multiple videos generated in Dartfish video. *See the website to see the video of our role model.  This session should only be taken once.

Hitters Development- (Six sessions) 60 minute sessions, twice a week to allow the player’s body to physically recover. The session begins with a focus on strength, balance, and explosion building then progresses into  transition footwork, combination attacks, serve-receive into attack.  You will receive a written evaluation of the 12 key spike sequences along with multiple videos generated in Dartfish video. This session can be taken multiple times to continue to build on the strength, balance, and explosion improvement along with further refinement on footwork and combination attacks.

Hitter Exceleration- Offered in one hour single sessions by request. These sessions include on-court work with a setter.  We will be taking the work done on the Solo Spike machine to work with the more in-consistent ball locations generated by a setter.  You will receive a written evaluation of the 12 key spike sequences along with multiple videos generated in Dartfish video. This session can be taken multiple times to continue to refine footwork and combination attacks.
